This page is maintained by the app owner and describes how PlantIQ handles your data today. It is a plain-language summary, not a legal certification.
What we collect
- • Account data you provide at sign-up: email address, display name and preferred dialect.
- • Content you create in the app: diagnoses, crop photos you choose to upload, and pest outbreak reports.
- • Approximate location, only when you grant permission, to show local insights and nearby outbreaks.
What stays on your device
- • Disease diagnosis runs on the device. Photos are analysed locally and are only uploaded when you are signed in and the app syncs your queue.
- • While you are offline, diagnoses and reports are buffered in local storage on your phone until a connection is available.
How we use it
- • To show your history, give location-relevant insights, and warn nearby farms about outbreaks.
- • Outbreak reports shown to other users are displayed at approximate coordinates and are not attributed to you publicly.
- • We do not sell personal data.
Processors and hosting
- • Account, database and file storage are hosted with our cloud backend provider on our behalf.
- • Google AdSense may serve advertising on this site. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads; see Google's advertising policies for details and opt-out options.
Cookies and similar technologies
- • We use local storage to keep you signed in and to queue offline work.
- • Advertising and analytics partners may set their own cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and ad personalisation through Google's Ads Settings.
Retention and deletion
- • Account and content data are kept while your account is active.
- • Email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. We will action deletion requests for the account the request is sent from.
Children
- • PlantIQ is intended for adults working in agriculture and is not directed at children.
Changes
- • We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
